Information
I used to adopt a buy and hold strategy but have now concluded that the only chance of surviving and prospering in this drastically changed investment environment is to switch to a trading strategy. I am not into day trading and am not interested for the moment in dabbling in options.
My premise is that even if we don't go into a double dip, the recovery will be much slower than most people hope and that the market is unlikely to revert to a bull market any time soon. In fact, I expect the market to be in a trading range for perhaps another year at least.

INVESTMENT     STRATEGY
I have spent countless hours researching various investment newsletters and databases to shortlist the ones most appropriate for our strategy.
I have subscribed to a couple of investment newsletters as well as a database and will further research their recommendations to shortlist the best pick of the week.
My focus will be on trading stocks that are priced under $20 and are poised to move up at least 10% within the next 3 to 4 weeks.
Subscribers are reminded to immediately place a GTC stop loss upon buying the recommended stock in order to protect themselves from possible large losses in this volatile market.
Subscribers will also be told which online broker charges only $5 per trade. It is important to use the most inexpensive broker for frequent trading as a dollar saved is a dollar earned and a trading strategy depends on keep costs low as the focus is on rapid turnover of stocks.
