For most of us, this little moment escaped our notice on the first viewings of Help! but eventually someone pointed it out and we all did a VCR rerun of it just to see the expression on Paul's face as he realizes he has just touched the breast of the girl he is using for his guitar.
The question: Does Paul really touch her breast?

As Paul sings "Another Girl" he uses a bikini clad girl as his guitar. He strums away along side her body, consistently hitting the air about 3 inches from her breast, then . . . |

stretches his arm out . . . |
![]() |
and brings it back to continue strumming. |

But he has accidently (?) misjudged the distance and his hand is now closer. |

He manages only a stroke and a half . . . |
![]() |
before he jerks his hand away with a laughing "Ooops!" look on his face . . . |
![]() |
and continues to strum a safe distance away as the film clip abruptly ends. |
So did he actually touch her? Close-up time! |

Not "copping a feel" or whatever the Liverpuddlian equivalent term is, but his knuckles do seem to lightly brush the side of her breast. Enough for him to realize he has strayed from the safety of her bare arm to forbidden fruits! So the answer is, yes he touched her, but not enough so as to get the clip snipped out! |
Got any more movie clips you would like to investigate in still frames and closeups?
