Services for Thurman A. Billings of Atoka, Tenn., father of four Memphians, will be at 3 this afternoon at Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Tipton County. The Rev. Fred Burton and Dr. Turney B. Roddy will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Billings, who was 73, died at 4:45 a.m. yesterday at Methodist Hospital, where he had been a patient three weeks. Born in the Bethel community near Atoka, Mr. Billings lived there all of his life. A farmer, he was an elder in Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Pansy Wooddell Billings; three sons, William T. Billings of Bolivar, Tenn., Clyde N. Billings and Thurman W. Billings of Memphis; two daughters, Mrs. W. F. Caudle and Mrs. Chester A. Ruleman of Memphis; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Freeze and Mrs. J. H. Ferguson of Memphis; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. National Funeral Home has charge.
