New!!!Requisition: Written Dec 1863 or Jan 1864 and sent to the Quartermaster who received it on 31 Jan 1864 while headquartered at Dalton, GA. It appears to me that a clerk wrote this out and that Michael only signed the copy as the Commanding Officer of Company K. Why he is listed as the commanding officer of Co. K is beyond me, unless Co. K and Co. B underwent a consolidation (due to heavy losses?) and Michael was the highest ranking officer left among them? Where was Michael's 1st Lieutenant, Robert E. McCarthy at this tiime? He should be with Co. B as it is known that he was not captured until 4 July 1864 and this record is clearly before that time period.
