About Little House Antiques

Little House Antiques was originally located in a teeny,
tiny, little house that had been abandoned by its owners and left to
fend for itself. Over the years, a small "jungle" of
vines grew up around the house, obsuring it from almost
everyone's view. I passed by the house nearly every
day and I often wondered about it...so when a fellow
antiques dealer offered me the chance to join them in
purchasing the house, I jumped at the opportunity.
We (and our respective spouses) lovingly restored her
from top to bottom and opened Little House Antiques.
We did almost everything ourselves and to say that it
was hard work is a vast understatement! It took
nearly two years until we had the house in shape to
open the shop. We loved the house and enjoyed our
time there, but eventually came to realized that
working "retail" hours was a real pain! So,
we closed the shop and the Little House has
now been returned to its original purpose; that of sheltering a family.
However, closing the shop hasn't meant that I've stopped attending auctions, flea markets and the like and I still have a tendancy to drag home everything that isn't nailed down! Consequently, I decided to "re-invent" Little House Antiques as a virtual antiques shop. The hours are much better and I actually get to see my family once in a while!
