Well, obviously, they're not really links. A lot of them could be, though. They are unfinished business. I colored some of the words orange to draw my attention to them. These are items whose accuracy I need to verify, words I need to link to other parts of the site, or subjects that may deserve a paragraph or page of their own. A way of letting you know that I'm aware of the unfinished bits. A more subtle way of having parts "under construction" without disrupting the overall appearance of the site.
Warning: Changing things in your computer can mess it up!
If you don't understand the implication of the above statement, then maybe you shouldn't be fooling around with your computer, Linux, and especially boot loaders.

These pages were originally written in 1998 and as such reflect heavily the operation and behaviour of Red Hat Linux 5.1. LILO version 20 was released in 1997 and as of 1999, has not changed. Thus, LILO will operate as described, but you may see changes in how Linux install programs behave. Since LILO can pass arguments to the Kernel, certain configuration commands could change as well.
