| We all know how drinking games go, right? Like "Hi Bob" and the "Star Trek" drinking game? Well, since Oakland's political braintrust is enough to drive old Carrie Nation herself to the bottle, we decided that if we need to drink to have it make sense, let's have fun....
The Rules:
|
|
Jerry Brown:
Take one drink if:
- he says "Oakland's on the MOVE!"
- he makes a lame-ass joke at San Francisco's expense
- he claims that he'll drive a developer around town in his Mayormobile
- he has a softball interview with either Phil Matier on KRON or the knuckleheads on KGO Radio
- he blames Oakland's homicide rate on "cowboys" and parolees
Take two drinks if:
- he makes a goofy, vague comment about running for another office
- he's seen actually touching a person (non-handshake)
- he defends Wilda White, Paul Cobb or Harold Pendergrass
- he flies down to Southern California to schmooze with ex-con and parolee Michael Milken
- he's only 45 minutes late for a scheduled appearance
Go to Beverages & More, purchase a bottle of Bollinger Champagne, and down it on the spot if:
- he finally does the right thing and fires Barzaghi
|
|
Robert Bobb:
Take one drink if:
- he pitches city support for some sort of sport franchise (be it a stadium, or a golf
course, or -- heck -- a jai alai palace)
- he's forced to explain some weird Brown Administration position to the press
Take two drinks if:
- he has another meeting with an unrecognized Native American tribe
- he decides to leave the city
