Photo provided in early 2005 by George Napjus of Maryland and Lithuania, a descendant of Irish immigrant Andrew Nolan. He said it is "a picture of William 'Bill' Nolan, Andrew's eldest son and my great-grandfather. He died at age 28 in September 1880, a month before my grandmother was born. I suspect that his death was caused by some sort of epidemic, as his son died a month after he did and his wife was also very ill before successfully giving birth. This may be one of the few photos ever taken of Bill Nolan. It is unfortunate that the photo has been so crudely retouched, but at least it does give us a good idea of how Bill looked."
