Moments
She spots the horizon
far sooner than I;
she sees the future for us.

It comes, then goes like a song
not quite remembered,
and oh, just to hold her then
to keep it a moment.

She feels my heart's darkness
before it begins;
she knows its cold grip.

And with only a touch
she warms it away,
and oh, to be held by her then
to seal it forever.

She is all that I am,
and my reason for living;
how do I make her understand?

For I can't see the future,
nor fight back the cold,
but oh, how I love her
and the moments she brings.
