Hannah's song
She sang from the heart
simple truths, solid against the ages,
Moved by the Spirit
declaring again His majesty.

She had waited so long
to kiss a tiny hand
And in His time,
within His context
He delivered,
and moved her to song.

Just a simple song of praise
but oh, the truth therein:

Of the Rock that stands
where justice demands
the exalted to bow down before Him.

Of the hungry made full
and the poor brought to riches
and the actions of arrogance weighed.

Of His enemies broken
at the feet of His saints
trembling 'neath thunder of judgement.

But mostly of Love
and His sure rewarding
the prayers of those humbly seeking.

She sang from her heart
a truth for the ages:
The joy of His blessed salvation.
