In 1924 in Macon, Georgia, The Huff Daland Dusters crop-dusting operation formed the roots for Delta Airlines. The operation began with two army-furnished Jennys. In 1929, Delta operates its first passenger flight from Dallas, Texas to Jackson, Mississippi carrying five passengers and one pilot. Today, Delta is the fourth largest US carrier and fifth largest world carrier. They fly to 417 cities in 73 countries.
