COMPUTING EDGE SAM the OWL BEAN BAG
Founded in 1994 as a Washington Corporation, Computing Edge is a Microsoft Solution Provider that specializes in Systems Management products for Windows and UNIX.
The company founder was a senior program manager involved in the design and development of Microsoft SMS (a software program designed to manage the computer-network in companies and organizations).
SAM was picked as the mascot, because the Owl is wise and strong. S.A.M. stands for "Scalable Active Management", which means the software allows the system to grow without any problems as the needs of the company (or organization) grow and alter. SAM measures 6 inches tall, but from wingtip to wingtip he is almost 11 inches wide!! He has a very cute tail which makes it easy for him to stand up and be displayed. SAM was born February 1999.
