Otto the Auto, AAA's 3-foot-tall, remote-controlled talking car, rolled off the assembly line in August 1991. Since then, he has visited thousands of children throughout Northern California, Nevada and Utah. With an AAA employee providing his voice, Otto engages children in fun and memorable traffic safety exercises, stressing the importance of buckling seat belts, wearing bike helmets, and always looking all ways before crossing the street.
