Where to find resources:
I LOVE homeschool catalogs. Below are links to the ones I think
are
the best of the best companies that provide learning materials to
homeschoolers.
These catalogs not only offer products for you to purchase, their pages
offer inspiration and ideas so write to all of them!
USE the library! I have a books pages
linked to Amazon.com. If you use my links I get a small
percentage
of the profit. But I also put these pages up to give you access to
books
and descriptions of books that I have USED and LOVED. Copy my
pages
and go to your local library if you can't afford to buy the
resources.
If they don't have the book you need, ask them if you can get it on
interloan.
You will find, as I have, that sometimes you really need to buy the
book
but homeschooling shouldn't cost you a huge amount of
money.
If you are as crazy about books as I am, learn to use the thrift store
too!
Public
Television's website. ..Includes teacher quides, creative
activities, lesson plans and where to buy vidoes of that must have PBS
program. Support PBS!
Rainbow Resource Center
... always reliable. The
catalog is HUGE and extremely helpful. Each year I read this
catalog cover to cover and each year I find new ideas.
Timberdoodle... Fast, best
prices and reliable. I buy my math from them and language arts!
