Washington Co marriages:
Bennet Rector m. Sally Bryant 3/2/1808 (2nd wife)
Patience Rector (s/o Bennet) m. Owen O'Brient 5/15/1806
Mary O'Bryan m. Dennis Laughlin 8/21/1788

John O'Brien (notice the spelling is the same as Owen's) m.
Ann Anderson 7/29/1804 the George Van Hoose report>

In Washington County 1780's I found mention of the following
surnames: Owens, Oxars (Auxiers), Lewis. 10 years later we start to see Bryants O'Brients etc..), Rectors etc...
John Van Hoose Jr. (s/o Mary Bryan and john Van Hoose) married Lydia Lewis. Her father was Zachariah. He is living in Farquier Co Va in 1772 (per deed) and is acquainted with a Max'm. Berryman
The Berryman and Rector families of Farquier appear to be well aquainted with each other per deeds.

A Nimrod ASHBY 's estate account has George YOAKUM, Benjamin,TUTT, George ARNOLD, John OWENS, Jacob HITE, John RECTOR, and Edward BLACKBURN. These names are allied families (through marriage) to both BOONES and Morgan County Browns (Edy Brown VanHoose wife of Jesse d/o Francis Asbury Brown. Francis s/o Thomas C. Brown of Hampshire Co VA...)

A DanielBrown was a neighbor to Robert Ashby in farquier near Rectortown. A John CLARK lived near him. (Remember Clark is an allied name through marriage of John Van Hoose's family). I strongly believe (based on other evidence such as Nevilles,
Slaughters, Sanders in the same area) that Daniel Brown was part of my Thomas C. Brown family (whose father was reportedly Daniel
Brown married to frances Neville or Sanders.) Thomas C. Brown reported (but unproven to me) brother, Nathaniel Brown had a daughter, Sally Brown Auxier. She lived in Russell (old Washington Co VA) and I believe I've found Nathaniel's will
there.

A John Bryant married a Livinia Owens 2/3/1778 Bondsman =
Battaley Bryant in Farquier.

In some DAR info I found on Ancestry.com there is a William
Bryant Rev. War soldier married to a Mary Owen with daughter
Elizabeth married to Lewis Lafayette Merryman. (Too bad it
wasn't Berryman! Then we'd really have something to go one.
Regardless, we need to look at the primary record to make sure it
wasn't Berryman.)

Either John or William would be a good candidate as some type
of family member to Mary Bryan Van Hoose and Owen Bryant.

There is a William Bryant living in Farquier in 1764 bound out
to George Bennett. Could Bennet Rector be named for a member of
the Bennett family of Farquier?

The Sanders family appear on deeds of RECTORS.

Battaley Bryan married Elizabeth Berryman 5/20/1770
bond Benjamin Berryman.
