Recent jazz releases
(from Oct to last week)
[home.att.net/~lankina/jazz/newjazz.html]
Matthew Shipp -
Equilibrium (Thirsty Ear) Jan 21
On his moody and haunting new release,
Equilibrium,
pianist Matthew Shipp
and regular partners bassist William Parker and drummer Gerald Cleaver
are joined by
vibes master Khan Jamal, whose shimmering sounds contribute to the atmosphere, and
the synths of Flam, who adds his texture to the mix. A beautiful release.
