In saucepan, cook dates with orange juice over medium heat, about 5 minutes, or until
thicken. Set aside. Preheat
over to 375° F. |

Combine
oats, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in large bowl. Cut
in butter until mixture is crumbly. |

Do
not grease pan. Press
½
oat mixture in the bottom of a 9x 9" square
pan firmly. Spread
date fillings over the layer evenly. |

Sprinkle
the remaining oat mixture on the top; press lightly. Bake 25 minutes or until lightly brown.
Serve
warm. Make 16 servings
