  What you'll need:
 
  2   lbs. taro root
  2/3   cup granulated sugar, white
  Directions:
 
  1.   Peel taro; dice into 0.5" thick cubes. Combine taro cubes with 6 cups water in stockpot, bring to a boil for 40 minutes* over high heat. Make sure taro is soft enough. Add sugar.
