   What you'll need:
 
  3   cups glutinous rice, raw
  14   oz. red bean, raw
  1 ½   cup white sugar
  2   tablespoons corn oil 

 

 
  Directions:
 
  1.   Prepare Red Bean Paste Fillings: See Tip
(a) Combine red beans with 5 cups cold water in stockpot, bring to a boil. Combine cooked red beans and 2 cups water in stoneware slow cooker. Cook on high for 5 hours or until soft. Add 1- 1/2 cup sugar, stir. Simmer 10 minutes.
(b) Grate red beans in blender until paste like. Stir red bean paste in saucepan over low heat for about 25 minutes to remove excess moisture. Time may vary depending on the heat and the amount of moisture.
  2.   Cook Glutinous Rice:
Rinse well with cold water to clean up the rice. Use the rice cooker to cook glutinous rice. Add water to the mark 3 in cooker. Read user manual for more instructions.
  3.   Press 1/2 of rice onto bottom of pan. Spread red bean paste fillings evenly over the rice layer. Cover fillings with the remaining rice
 
  4.   Serve warm. Makes 18 servings.
