   What you'll need:
 
  1   lbs. white radish
  2   carrots
  12   button mushrooms
  12   straw mushrooms
  12   fried gluten
  14   baby corn
  1   potato
  2   pickling cucumbers
  20   fresh asparagus
  2   dried bean thread
  1˝   teaspoons salt
  2   tablespoons cornstarch
  4   tablespoons corn oil
  2   cups chicken broth
  
   Directions: (Continued)
 
  4. a. Combine cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water in a cup. Set aside.
b. Add bean thread, baby corn and asparagus, add salt. Stir for 20 seconds. Add cornstarch mix. Stir constantly until smooth and thickened.

  5.   Arrange on a platter as shown. Serve. Makes 6 servings.

  Directions:
 
  1. a. Cut 8 dried bean thread about 1.5 inches long. Soak in water for 20 minutes.
b. Cut potato into diamond shape. Shape white radish and cucumber pieces into balls. Slice carrot to disks.
  2.   Bring 3 cups water to boil, scald potato, radish, cucumber, and carrot about 90 seconds. Remove from heat. Soak in cold water 2 minutes. Drain.

  3.   Heat 4 tablespoons corn oil in sauté pan to very hot but not smoke, pour in mushrooms, potato, radish, cucumber, and carrot. Sauté 10 seconds, add chicken soup, cover. Cook over high heat for 3 minutes.
