    What you'll need:
 
 

Flour Mixture:

  1½   cups general purpose flour
  1   teaspoon baking soda
  ½   teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  ¼   teaspoon ground nutmeg
  ¼   teaspoon salt (optional)
 

Oats & Raisins:

  1¾   cups old fashioned oats, uncooked
  2   cups raisins
 

Egg Mixture:

  ¾   cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  ¾   cup granulated white sugar
  ¾   cup butter, softened
  2   eggs
  1   teaspoon vanilla extract

 

    Directions:
 
  1.   Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2.   Combine ingredients of flour mixture in big bowl, mix well; set aside.
  3.   Beat butter and sugars in medium bowl until creamy. Beat in eggs and vanilla; beat well. Beat in flour mixture until blended. Stir in oats and raisins; mix well.
  4.   Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto un-greased baking sheets, 2" apart. Bake 10- 12 minutes or until golden brown.
  5.   Cool on rack. Make 4 dozens.
