Cook
chopped dates with 1/2 cup orange juice in saucepan, about 5 minutes, or until thickens.
Stir in remaining juice and 1/4 cup cranberries. |

Combine
oats, flour, sugar, baking soda and salt in large bowl. Stir in melted
butter until mixed evenly. |

Press
about 2/3 of oat mixture onto bottom of foil-lined 9" square pan. Spread
date fillings over the oat mixture layer.. |

Stir remaining 1/4 cup cranberries into
the remaining oat
mixture. Cover fillings with oat mixture. Press down firmly.

Bake
at 375° F, 25 minutes or until lightly brown.
