The before and after views
The Annual Native Grass Burn
Each year we burn our field of big blue stem
This keeps down weeds and improves growth
We do this in cooperation with the Cedar Hill Fire Department
and the Missouri Department of Conservation
They use this as training and the practical part of controlled
burn classes
The before and after views
The lines are set so they will meet and the fire goes
out on it's own
When the lines meet it often creates a fire tornado due
to the opposing wind currents created by the fire
