| All right Keith, why is
this here and what does it have to do with fly tying?
Admittedly, it is a bit of a stretch and there is
no single stamp that has a fishing fly on it, but take the time
to examine the entire panel (click on it to view enlargement).
Besides a beautiful cutthroat, some fingerlings,
stoneflies of all stages, and others, one can also
find where a hapless fisherman snagged on a an
underwater
branch and lost a
Royal Coachman.
Unfortunately, since there is not a stamp dedicated to
the fly, one must obtain the entire sheet but it is
very nicely done and may well fit in your collection
of Philatelic Phly Patterns. |
