Our
Cabernet/Merlot blend is still ... evolving? That or we'll
spend the winter drinking sangria! We already know it makes great sangria thanks to Catherine and Rick. Read more about our Wine.
Summer
is here and don't the labradors know it?. Chip
and Sam are excited to be begging for biscuits and chasing
squirrels in more humane conditions than the Illinois winter. If you know how are summer has been, cold sounds good!
We've
got our IPA in the carboy, but realized we used the wrong
grain! Rather than the selection for the IPA we accidently
brewed the 5 gallons with nothing but peat-smoked malt. Hopefully
the beer will be drinkable, if largely remiscent of Smithwick's
by a peat fire in Ireland. Read more about our brewing in
Beer.
Kim
and I just got back from a long weekend in Phoenix and a week
in Nuevo Vallarta Mexico. We had a wonderful time soaking
up the sun. Our next trip is to Australia in August. I can't
wait. Until I have pictures posted, visit Travel
for pictures of our trip to Mazatlan Mexico.
Kim
has launched her Spring '03 On-line Archives exhibit on Nancy

The
past 18 months of business travel are starting to amount to
free flights and hotels! So far I've been to Illinois, Indiana,
Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Iowa, California, Texas,
North Carolina, Florida, Maryland, Rhode Island, Massachusetts,
Georgia, Alabama, Nevada, Arizona, Kansas, Nebraska, South
Dakota, Iowa, Maine, New Hampshire, Louisiana, Virginia, Tennessee,
Vermont, Pennsylvania, Missouri, and a few I'm sure I'm forgetting.
Of course, I still haven't been able to hit Alaska, Hawaii,
Oregon and Deleware to complete my tour of the 50 States.
