Emma had 15 brothers and sisters 12 lived to be grown.Grandmother King died prior to My birth,Phillip Kersey, so I never saw Her.She was ,as all the King's a very tall person.

Emma married Philip Watkins Kersey, son of Ballard Kersey and Martha Gentry Kersey, on Sep 13, 1881 in Residence Of The Bride Hanover, Virginia. (Philip Watkins Kersey was born on Mar 1, 1849 in Hanover County, Virginia, baptized in 1869 in Ashland Baptist Church, Ashland, Virginia, died on Jan 20, 1905 in Bed At Home, Hanover County, Virginia and was buried in Kersey Family Cemetery in Family Farm State Rt.798 Ashland, Virginia.) The cause of his death was heart failure.
