Warren [ Booley ] Price Harris

   Cause of his death was Heart Failure.

   General Notes:

Booley served in world war II in the Pacific arena . He was a sergeant in the U.S.Army . He spent most of his time on the island of New Guinea . He served in the supply headquarters .He was in service for about three years. Booley was always a down to earth country boy , in love with all of God's creations . He was a pleasure to be with ,never complained about a thing . He loved the out of doors . In his working career .he was employed by E.I.Du Pont prior to going into service after his discharge from the military, he went into the grocery business with his brother and Pirece Hall , a long time family friend. He first ran the Victor Street Market in Highland Park Richmond , Virginia . He was there for about six years. Then he moved his family to Midlothian, Virginia and operated a grocery store on U.S. Rt. 60 . He and his family lived in a home behind the store on Salisbury Drive. After closing that business he became the postmaster of Midlothian, Virginia. He held this position until he had his heart attack, at which time he took a disability retirement.

   Medical Notes:

Booley died at age 76Yrs. He had diabetes and a weak heart. His problems started with a heart attack . They performed a angeoplasty on him after the heart attack and a particle of plaque went to his brain causing a stroke . He never fully recovered from it .

Warren married Ann Harwood Kersey Harris, daughter of Stuart Ashby Kersey Sr. and Alene Bolton Childress Kersey Clarke, on Feb 9, 1946 in Barton Heights Baptist Church, Richmond, Virginia.
