William married Amanda S. Kersey Thurston, daughter of Richard [ Dick ] Kersey and Nancy Kersey, on Dec 17, 1885. (Amanda S. Kersey Thurston was born in 1857, died on Jan 4, 1918 and was buried slash Christian Church Cemetery in Hanover, County Ashland , Virginia.)
