Mattie's Father was the Shierff of Chesterfield County when She was a child.He wore a" Goatee".Alene Childress My Mother rembers Her Aunt Mattie very well and enjoyed the time spent with Her.

Martha married Dr. Herbert Bolton Lush, son of Israel Lush and Ellen Bolton Lush, on Dec 2, 1896. (Dr. Herbert Bolton Lush was born on Jun 24, 1867 in Eramosa Township, Ontario, Wellington Co., Onterio, Canada and died on Mar 6, 1921 in Chesterfield County, Virginia.)
