When Betty was a little girl She often visited with Her Aunt Ellen and uncle Albert during Her school summer vacations.She enjoyed the many shopping trips to downtown Broughton Street where Her aunt bought Her many gifts from stores likeAddlers, which was a large department store,Penny's,Leggetts,and Learners ,all small stores then .They also took many trips to Tybee Beach for the day and Betty thoroughly enjoyed them.Betty's cousin Dolly and Her friends often joined them for the day.Treasa Shepp (red head), a friend of Aunt Ellen, came to visit with her .She had her niece from California with her.Her niece was about the same age as Betty and they enjoyed one another.Treasa had her own automobile and they had almost daily trips to Tybee Beach. That year Betty went to Savanah on the train by herself. When she came home and stepped off the train her Mother could hardly recognize her.She was dark skined and had put on weight,eating the ice cream that cousin Herbert had brought home for them.Uncle Albert,Ellen's husband,was Betty's fun uncle. She only had two during her life time,Uncle Scott Riles was the other.Albert was a carpet and linolium installer and had a Chevrolet panel truck for His work. When Betty was visiting with Her aunt and uncle Albert, He would gather all the neighborhood children together,with Betty, and take them to Tybee Beach for the day.He had placed side benches in the rear of the truck for the children to sit on.

At the time of Her death Ellen was a communicant of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist.
Ellen married Albert Moliere. (Albert Moliere was buried hillcrest Cemetery in Savannah , Georgia.)
