   General Notes:

Alene's Grand Mother came from England. Her name Ellen Bolton [maiden name]Lush. Mother remembers Her Grand Mother but never saw Her Grand Father, nor did She know His name ,"Israel Lush 1815". From Phil Kersey, when I was a child My Mother use to sing songs for her children. She was always a bright and inspiring person. She would pick the appropriate time for her songs. Such as on a cold morning when She was waking us up to prepare us for school. She would walk through the bedrooms singing "Jackie Frost,Jackie Frost came in the night,Left the meadows that He crossed all Gleaming White.Painted with His Silver Brush every window pane. Kissed the leaves and made them blush, blush, blush again. Jackie Frost,Jackie Frost crept around the house, sly as a Silver Fox,still as a Mouse. Out our Little Philly Boo came blushing like a Rose,Up jumped Jackie Frost and bit His Little Nose. Mother attributed Her ability to remember these little songs to Her Father, who She said taught them to Her and would sing them to Her. She has a host of them that I do not remember but will try to obtain from Her. Knife and fork a bottle and a cork That's the way you spell New York. Chicken on the car and the car won't go,that is the way you spell Chicago. Here is another, Once upon a time the monkey drank wine. He got drunk. He sat on the elephants trunk. The elephant sneezed and fell on His knees and that was the end of the monkey dee monk. On 9/14/99 out of a clear blue sky Alene came up with "sitting in the jail house with My head to the wall and a darn old computer is the cause of it all. "This was because I was on line and she and Betty could not use the telephone. I thought that was rather witty for age 99 yrs.
