Elizabeth Carmer Warren Kersey is the daughter of Elmore Carmer Warren and Arhonton[Ora] Warren.She is the half sister of George Linwood Cottier and Walter Alvin Cottier Warren.Although Walter was not the son of Elmore Warren, Walter chose to change His name legally through court.This was never a problem for George since He was never legally employed. Betty grew up in a loving home with her invalid father,and her grandmother. Before she was born her family had lived at Isle of Hope,Georgia. They moved to Richmond, Virginia after the fire because her father needed employment. Having been a lumberman all his life he settled into the wood business at various local mills. Betty was born late in his life, he had always wanted a boy but was pleased with her arrival. Betty was his only child. As a child Betty loved to play with dolls she even would dress her cat. She could not, as a child, stand a feather. It must have been the wind that blew them around and she did not understand where they were going.
