Who We Are

The title "Kelley's Kobras" as used within this internet site is drawn from the original 494th Group Newsletter, and the Title of the original History published in 1947. Our Charter makes provisions that we are a non political organization, and as such, no political orientation will be espoused. The 494th Bomb Group (H) Association, Inc. was incorporated as a non-profit organization under Colorado law. Membership is limited to veterans. As a veterans organization, we qualify for tax exempt status under the provisions of Internal Revenue code 501(c)(19).

Our Articles of Incorporation state the purpose of the corporation is "To preserve and promote friendship among Members of the Association and their Families". Our Bylaws state our purpose is "To promote closer relations among members and families". Our organization is not a trust or foundation for charitable purposes. We are tax exempt under Colorado and Federal law, however, this would not give us, as members of the organization, any right to deduct expenses from our personal income tax returns for attending conventions. The content of this internet site is provided by the Members, and is for the membership use. Permission to reproduce material contained herein must be obtained from the Association President or Secretary.
