"Day By Day"

My wife and I began sailing in 1979 after moving to the San Francisco bay area. We took sailing lessons and I progressed into advanced and heavy weather classes. We chartered in the Bay area and the British Virgin Islands from 1980 to 1990.

In 1982 we bought our first boat, an Erickson 30+, and began our first off-shore sailing in addition to S.F. bay area. We bought our Passport 40 in 1990 and re-christened her "Day By Day" and began fitting her out for a circumnavigation.

In early Dec. '91 we left on our dream trip heading south to Mexico then west to French Polynesia. We continued west for 35,000 miles and 35 countries crossing the Pacific in 1992, the Indian Ocean in 1994, The Med in 1994 & 95 and the Atlantic in December of 1995. After cruising the Carribean we headed up the Intercoastal waterway finishing in the Chesapeake in August of 1996 where we sold the boat in Annapolis.

Having done virtually all my own boat maintenance on the world cruise coupled with my electronics background (30 years in computer field engineering) and 20+ years of sailing and cruising experience I have a solid blue water background to share with our customers.
