Summer 2007
Summer of 2007 was indeed a very, very busy summer. Kari trained
and ran very hard for the upcoming Cross-Country season. Besides
"work" there was quite a bit of playing. It ended up being a
great
summer for both rock
climbing and scuba diving
. We also visited SEVERAL colleges over the summer (including
Georgetown University, Princeton, Maryland, and George Washington
University). In addition, there was a lot of
baseball,
softball, biking, trips to the Jersey shore and visits to NYC.
We did make it to several Yankee games (both at Yankee Stadium) and an
away game down in Baltimore's Camden Yards. Also, Kerry completed
his 21st year/season of softball with the "Hot Dogs". Below you
can see a couple of pictures taken during the game down in Camden
Yards. In the first picture you can see Damon and Jeter,
while the other picture shows Jeter and A-Rod. We had GREAT seats
for this game - pretty much right down at field level.

The next two pictures show Kari and Tom at Yankee Stadium (WAY up in
the nose bleed section), and a shot of the annual "Hot Dog"
picnic: it shows several the softball players after our last game
of the season.

We visited several Universities over the summer, and below are a couple
of shots from Princeton (showing the main Library and the famous
Princeton Tiger statue). In addition there is a nice photo of the
Georgetown Univeristy Campus.

While we were down in the Washington, D.C. area visiting colleges, we
did get a chance for a little "sight-seeing". As such you can see
a shot of the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, the White
House, and of course the Watergate. On the way back from DC, we
stopped off in Baltimore, and spent a few hours in the Inner Harbor
area, and you can see Kari on the WWII sub that's docked down there.

During the summer Kerry and Kari headed into NYC to see a revival of
the play "Inherit the Wind", starring Christopher Plummer and Brian
Dennehy. It was an excellent production, and there are a couple
of shots from that day.

Also, we show a shot of Kari on one of our bike rides, and then a
picture of a sunset over the Raritan River taken during another bike
ride. Finally, there is a parting shot of Rocky (the turtle) when
we let him free. His new home is a great pond, that's in the
little state park that is associated with Thomas Edison's original lab.
