Coffman's Summer 2006
Summers always go too quickly, and 2006 was no exception.
Even though it rushed by it was indeed busy in that it included several
trips to Six Flags Great Adventure/ Hurricane Harbor (and riding one
the best wooden coaster I've ever been on: El Toro), a lot of baseball
(including 4 games at Yankee stadium, a game at Camden Yards in
Baltimore, and one at the Philly's new stadium), several trips to NYC,
bike rides, a lot of climbing (see climbing '06 page),
softball and water skiing.
As mentioned we did get a chance to see 5 or 6 Yankee games.
Below you can see a picture of Camden Yards in Baltimore, one in the
Philly's
new stadium in Philadelphia (both these parks are simply incredible!!),
and Kari in Monument Park at Yankee Stadium.

We also had several trips into NYC. Once again Kari was in a
summer program in which she spent 4-5 days at Manhattan College.
After we picked her up and spent some time in the City. Below are
a couple of pictures of Kari and Cleopatra's Needle (in Central Park)
from that afternoon.

One again, we went numerous times to Six Flags (both the theme park,
Great Adventure, and the water park, Hurricane Harbor). Tom and
Kerry also attended a couple of concerts there, including "All American
Rejects" and "Smashmouth". Below you can see a photo from the
time we went down there with Sudha, Angie, and Rhea (in the picture you
can see Angie, Sudha, Rhea, Bugs and Tom). There is
also a shot taken from the Big Wheel that shows several of the
coasters, followed by a couple of shots of Tom and Kari in the front
row of El Toro (one is as they are starting the big drop, and the other
one is at the end of the ride). Finally there is one shot from
the Smashmouth concert.

We were also able to get up to Lake Hopatacong for a great day of water
skiing. It was an amazing day: incredible ski dogs, good skiing,
great tubing, and a very nice lunch on the lake shore
afterwards. Below are 4 pictures from the day. The
first shot shows Kerry and the two amazing ski dogs. The
second picture is a great shot that Tom took of his Dad (Kerry) right
after he let go of the tow rope. The next picture shows
some tubing (you can see Tom still hanging on and Kari right after she
was thrown off the tube), while the last shot shows Kari and Tom after
a day of water skiing.

Below, is a picture of the Hot Dogs '06 (Kerry's softball team - he
celebrated his 20th year with the team this summer), a picture of Rocky
(our
turtle) enjoying some of the glorious summer sun, and a shot of Tom and
his Dad on one of their bike rides.
