Once again, 2006 was good year with a lot of various activities.
In the winter there was ice climbing (below you can see Kerry climbing
up
in the Adirondacks (New York), a bit of skiing, Broadway plays (below
you can see Kari and Becky the night we say Phantom of the Opera
on Broadway),
winter track (Kari place 5th in the County in the 800m/half mile),
indoor soccer, and a great Billy Joel concert (with front row
seats!!!).
Despite it being an overall warm winter, we did have a few snow storms
and blizzards.
The spring was dominated with Spring Track (Kari placed 5th in the
county in the 1600m/mile), soccer, and trips to Six
Flags Great Adventure (including the new El Toro, which is the best
wooden roller coaster we've ever ridden). - The summer was
very busy with (scuba) diving, bike rides, a trip to Texas (and then on
to Ohio) for Becky's mother's 80th birthday party, a summer program
down in Washington, D.C. and then Manahattan college, softball, a lot
of baseball games, water skiing and rock climbing. - The Fall was
highlighted with (running) Cross-Country (Kari placed 8th in the County
and made All Area team), a great cover bridge bike ride, more broadway
plays, and Kari's trip to Montreal and Quebec City. There
was also driving lessons for Kari!!!
Of course the house was also filled with the soothing sounds of DRUMS,
since Tom started playing the drums!!
Clicking the various links in the below table will take you to specific
pages that show some of the highlights of 2006.
The below picture was taken in San Antonio during Becky's Mother's 80th
birthday party
Below you can see our annual Christmas 'toon (2006):
Below you can see a picture of the kids (Tom, Kari and Melissa -
Angelique's daughter) up at the Gunks (in NY state) during a great day
of rock climbing, hiking and playing in the swimming hole. Also,
there is a picture from water skiing/tubing on Lake Hopatcong,
NJ. You can
see Kari being tossed off, while Tom is (barely) managing to hold
on!! That was also a great day!!
The next shot shows the boys' soccer team (the U19 NB PDA Hawks).
This was a great group of kids - they won the MNJYSA (Mid-New Jersey
Youth Soccer Association) U19 Flight one Championship and the overall
MNYSA Championship (quite an accomplishment), along with several major
tournaments. You can see Kerry and Coach Luis in the middle of
the picture.
In the next 4 pictures you can see Kerry (behind the prop of one of the
wrecks) during the St. Lawrence Seaway (in Canada) dive trip, Kari at
one of the covered bridges during the great covered bridge bike ride
(in the Fall), and a shot from the night we went to see Spamalot on
Broadway
(Kerry seems to fit right in with the French knights)..
