June 19, 2009 Inductee

The eighth inductee into the Blades Hall of Fame was a key player in the Kansas City Blades 1992 Turner Cup championship.

Arturs Irbe was chosen as the eighth inductee by an internet vote of fans. Arturs played for the Blades portions of three seasons. He was awarded the James Norris Memorial Trophy along with his teammate Wade Flaherty. He was a 1991-92 IHL All Stars, 1994 and 1999 NHL All Star, and 1991-92 Blades Rookie of the Year. He was a member of the 1992 Turner Cup championship team.

The seventh inductee into the Blades Hall of Fame was a key player in the Kansas City Blades organization, as well as in the community. He won the Blades community service award in two of those seasons, and has come back to Kansas City to play in a local amateur league. He was a member of the 1992 Turner Cup championship team.

The sixth set of inductees into the Blades Hall of Fame were valuable components in the Kansas City Blades organization.

In the players category Wade Flaherty was chosen as the sixth inductee by an internet vote of fans. Wade Flaherty spent 4 seasons with the Blades. He was a member of the 1992 Turner Cup championship team. He and Arturs Irbe split goaltending duties for the 1991-1992 season to help the team garner the championship.

In the builders category Paul MacLean was chosen as the sixth inductee by an internet vote of fans. Paul MacLean coached the Blades for three seasons.

June 19, 2006 Inductees

The fifth set of inductees into the Blades Hall of Fame were important cogs in the Kansas City Blades organization.

In the players category Pat Ferschweiler was chosen as the fifth inductee by an internet vote of fans. Pat Ferschweiler spent the majority of his career with the Blades, playing in 6 seasons with the team.

In the builders category Jim Wiley was chosen as the fifth inductee by an internet vote of fans. Jim Wiley started as an Kevin Constantine's assistant coach in his career with the Blades. He He held that position for two seasons, then was head coach for two seasons and some change. In his tenure as coach, the Blades won the Eastern Conference championship.

June 19, 2005 Inductees

The fourth set of inductees into the Blades Hall of Fame are two key members of the Kansas City Blades organization.

In the players category Claudio Scremin was chosen as the fourth inductee by an internet vote of fans. Claudio Scremin spent most of his career in Kansas City. He played 13 games for the San Jose Sharks of the NHL. He played overseas in Italy, Germany, and England.

In the builders category Russ Parker was chosen as the fourth inductee by an internet vote of fans. Russ Parker was the Blades original owner, responsible for bringing professional hockey back to Kansas City.

June 19, 2004 Inductees

The third set of inductees into the Blades Hall of Fame are two very important members of the Kansas City Blades organization.

In the players category Mike Colman was chosen as the third inductee by an internet vote of fans. Mike Colman spent his career in Kansas City. He played 15 games for the San Jose Sharks of the NHL. Unfortunately, Mike was killed in a car accident towards the end of the 1993-94 season.

In the builders category Kevin Constantine was chosen as the third inductee by an internet vote of fans. Kevin Constantine was the Blades second head coach. Kevin Constantine is also probably the Blades most popular coach, as he lead the team to a Turner Cup title in 1992.

April 19, 2003 Inductees

The second set of inductees into the Blades Hall of Fame are two cornerstones of the Kansas City Blades organization.

In the players category Dody Wood was chosen as the second inductee by an internet vote of fans. Dody Wood spent a large chunk of his career in Kansas City before playing in NHL and going oversees to play in England.

In the builders category Bob Kaser was chosen as the second inductee by an internet vote of fans. Bob Kaser was the radio play-by-play man for the Blades for ten of the team's eleven years. Many will never forget his goal call. "He scoooooooores!"

April 19, 2002 Inductees

The first set of inductees into the Blades Hall of Fame are truly an intregal part of the history of the Kansas City Blades.

In the players category Gary Emmons was chosen as the first inductee by an internet vote of fans. Emmons played for the team for six years, serving as the team's captains through all of those seasons. He was the captain in both of the team's trips to the Turner Cup Finals, leading the team to the Turner Cup Championship title in 1992. He also served as director of player personnel after his retirement. He later went on to serve as assistant coach for two seasons. He is the only Blades player to have his number official retired by the team.

In the builders category Doug Soetaert was chosen as the first inductee by an internet vote of fans. Soetaert was the only constant in the team's eleven year history. He first served as coach and director of hockey operations. He later took the reigns of General Manager and Vice President of the team.
