Okay who woke me from my nap? Sure it's that time of year again when they put this silly red hat on me and a bell under my neck while they greet their friends. It's that bell! There it goes again! Well, I'm just going to sit in this warm sunny window seat this year and not move at all, till it's all over. Don't know what the fuss is all about in the next room.
There goes the bell again! Hi! Come on in who's that? Meow! Well, aren't you cute how old are you about four? What's your name? Sandy, meow! That's a pretty name, come sit by me, sure you can pet me and I know you understand me cause your not five when things change and you start to turn into one of them in the other room. My name is Tiger! No not like in the jungle, they just named me that for the stripes on my back and my color. I'm adopted! That means I'm special!
I was found living someplace else cold and hungry as a kitten (that's a baby cat) and they took me home and gave me lots of love. That's how I got here and every year we go through this holiday thing, I know the tree is pretty and I like being the only special one just like you are now. Santa comes and brings you toys and pretty soon you might have a sister or brother to keep you company. It gets lonely for me, especially being a cat with all grownups and no children to play with.
This holiday thing sure gets tiring year after year and gets crazy too! They sing, dance, open boxes of stuff with paper and ribbon, I have to admit that's fun! Playing with ribbon and I sure love those round balls that shine and hang from the tree, but it would be nice to get something just for me! Instead of this bell and hat they keep on my head. It was nice talking to you Sandy, meow! I hear them calling you and so you better go into the next room, I think they want you in there for some reason. Well, she was so cute and fun to talk to, meow back to my nap.
