Where Do You Fit In? |

Everywhere. If you're like me, when you think of a "foundation," you probably picture a few accountants sitting around a big table analyzing proposals for grants. Or, perhaps you picture an elderly couple, he with his pipe and she with the checkbook, as they write out large sums to their favorite charities. In either case a "foundation" usually seems rather remote and not something that touches our lives in a personal way. Foundations do wonderful work, and richly bless many lives, but for most of us they carry on their activities "out of sight and out of mind." Imagine if you're able, a whole new concept in the way you picture a We need human resources, people, in our "pool" and we invite you to "jump in" and join us. There are no dues to pay, forms to sign, commitments to keep, or hoops to jump through. We just ask that you have a sincere desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Send us your address, e-mail if you have it, some background info if you desire, and you're all signed up. ![]() |

More Activities . . . Perhaps you visited a Young Life resort - ten, twenty, or even thirty years ago, remember the time fondly, but have never again felt the presence of God in your life. You feel you'd give anything to rekindle that spark, but can't find it. Good news! We'll have special occasions just for you and the thousands of others who feel the same way. Maybe you worked as a staff member or volunteer in the work of Young Life, and when your official involvement was over, you left feeling unappreciated, perhaps hurt. Too many, far too many wonderful people have felt this way. This would have saddened Jim (my father) deeply, and it saddens me that so many have felt this over the years. I dream of bringing healing to those who've been hurt, love and appreciation to those who never received it. Jim Rayburn started something unique in Christian history, and a growing corporation will not be able to preserve that uniqueness. But the people who made it what it was, and what it is, can do much to preserve that special seasoning, here and abroad, if we just stay in touch. We must not lose all contact with each other. Help us in building our alumni list - join our pool of people. I've heard so many people say, "I loved my time in Young Life as a teenager, I just wish there was YL for adults." As God enables, we're going to create some of those times - for adults. Perhaps you're exhausted and need a break, a time to rest and seek God's voice, a time to quietly reflect on your life and your future. Maybe you and your spouse need a couple weeks together, away from kids, problems, stresses, and ringing phones. But maybe you cannot afford the solitude you need and seek. There's good news friends, we want to be there for you. God willing, we will offer you free room and board in the finest facilities He provides us. And as God leads in making this possible, we'll shower you with love while you're there. We certainly can't do this without God's help, and we cannot do it without the involvement of all who relate to these visions. But God willing, we'll do it! Perhaps you never heard of Young Life or Jim Rayburn, but you respond to these ideas and concepts. Join us - welcome aboard. It's a big world and we want people involved with us from all backgrounds and all walks of life. Our hearts are bursting with dreams God has placed within us. There is so much we can
do, so much we can experience together. ~ Jim Rayburn III
