The aircraft is believed to be Fw 190D-9 Rot 3. The distinctive undersurface is clearly visible. The stripes were not evenly spaced and were no doubt hand applied. At one time it was thought that one of the planes had a black & white underside. When one of the pilots was asked about this he chuckled and and pointed out how foolish that would be with the Allied planes having black & white invasion stripes.
