Focuser Made from Old Camera Lens

$10 Pawn Shop + Time on a Lathe

Remove the glass. The brass tube in the center accepts the OD of a T-adapter for photography. This accepts a couple of draw tubes that extend to reach any focus over a 3-4 inch range for use with 1.25 inch eyepieces. Longer tubes give you more range. Pull out an extension tube to rough focus, then use the lens focusing mechanism for fine adjustment - about 3/8 inch travel. The base of the focuser is female T-thread to fit the end of the refractor's male T-threads. Fun little project!
