I have not been able to trace the family any farther back than Charles. I have several cousins who are also interested in genealogy, and none of them have been able to make any connection with anybody before Charles. I am especially interested in talking with anybody who might have information about Charles' ancestors. I am also interested in information on any other descendants of Charles - there are several that I still have not found yet.
The family lived in and around Seaford, DE until my Grandfather's generation. My GGrandfather (Luther Wilbur Hurley) had 5 sons, most of whom moved away from Seaford. My Grandfather, for example, moved to Philadelphia, PA, and my Father has lived most if his life in Schenectady, NY. One of my Grandfather's brothers (Albert Burton Hurley) moved to Long Island, NY, and yet another (Ronald Austin Hurley) went to California. Needless to say, the family is spread out over the entire country. I have made contact with the descendants of Ronald Austin Hurley, but I have not found any descendants of Albert Burton Hurley of NY.
Other surnames I am interested in are: Adams, Allen, Bailey, Bennett, Betts, Burton, Cannon, Carey, Cooke, Ellegood, James, Johnson, Kelly, LeCates, Magee, Marshall, Nichols, Obier, Olsson, Pusey, Riddle, Scott, Sirman, Townsend, and Wilson. (is that enough?) Any help will be greatly appreciated.
