I usually miss out on Saturday morning rides, because I take my son to his martial arts class. This week my wife took him and left my daughter and me with the time to do the ride.
The Breakfast Ride is a resurrected monthy tradition, and a fine one it is. We met the few riders willing to brave the fall chill at Lewistown Elementary School and all stuck together on the route to the resturant. After a fine meal, Brian, Emily and I headed back along the "D" ride cue sheet while the others took the longer "C" ride route. Brian was kind enough to go off route for a few minutes in one neighborhood to let me collect some roads for Fixing Frederick. About halfway back it started to lightly rain, but steady enough to get us wet, and as Emily didn't have raingear, the short route back was the wise one.
