The following two statements address the U.S. federal government's investigations into the 1993 events at the Branch Davidian compound near Waco, Texas.

The first statement, "PSYCHOLOGICAL COERCION & HUMAN RIGHTS:  Mind Control ("Brainwashing") Exists" appeared in the 19 April 1994 issue of Cult Abuse Policy & Research.  It responds to Professor Nancy T. Ammerman's 3 September 1993 "REPORT TO THE JUSTICE AND TREASURY DEPARTMENTS regarding law enforcement interaction with the Branch Davidians in Waco, Texas", which constituted part of the Justice and Treasury Departments' official report.

The second statement, "JOINT STATEMENT OF HERBERT L. ROSEDALE, PRESIDENT, AMERICAN FAMILY FOUNDATION (AFF) and WILLIAM REHLING, PRESIDENT, CULT AWARENESS NETWORK (CAN), U. S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OVERSIGHT HEARINGS ON FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS RELATED TO THE BRANCH DAVIDIAN COMPOUND IN WACO, TEXAS", was submitted on 19 July 1995.
