Lena Mosser, 88, of Linton, ND

Lena Mosser, 88, of Linton, formerly of Strasburg, died Monday, March 24, 2008, in the Linton Hospital.

Lena was born Jan. 11, 1920, on a farm near Hague, the daughter of Ben and Katherine (Sahli) Hulm. She attended country school.

Lena married Joseph J. Mosser on Oct. 25, 1945, in Minneapolis, Minn. Following their marriage they lived in various places while Joseph served in the U. S. Army. They retired in 1976 and settled in Strasburg. Lena and Joe enjoyed delivering Meals on Wheels. Lena also enjoyed dancing, cooking and visiting with family and friends.

She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Joseph died Jan. 26, 1997.

Lena is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law, Lena Marie and Tony Barlow of Florence, Mont., and Kathryn and Dennis Fowler of Syracuse, Utah; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Charlotte Buechler of Hague, Tillie Schatz of Zeeland and Mary and Chuck Chikis of Aptos, Calif., and two sisters-in-law, Katie Hulm and Vivian Nagel, both of Hague.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Robert, three brothers, Peter and Walter, and Martin in infancy, and three sisters, Elizabeth Wolf, Barbara Snobeck and Ann Schweitzer.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 28, 2008, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg. Concelebrants were Rev. Leonard Eckroth and Rev. Al Leary. Organist was Deloris Wikenheiser and song leader was Jolene Silvernagel. Scripture reader was Lois Baumgartner. Mass servers were Ben Meier and Lucas Meier. Gift bearers were Tillie Schatz and Charlotte Buechler.

Casketbearers were Don Hulm, Dale Hulm, Darren Hulm, Jim Schatz, Terry Buechler, Keith Buechler, David Baumgartner and Joseph Fowler.

Burial was at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Strasburg, under the direction of Myers Funeral Home, Linton.
