This is where it all happens, the veritable epicenter of our galaxial efforts to recruit the racing community's riff-raff to our mission. This is where we indoctrinate the legions, train them in guerilla tactics, arm them with state-of-the art weapons, rifle their pockets for loose change. This is where we take raw, untamed emotions and forge them into autonomic reactions to external stimuli. Frostbite Falls Chapter carries on in the tradition of Mother Theresa, George Jones The Frostbite Falls PRDA Chapter is headquartered in an abandoned horse trailer near suburban International Falls, Minnesota. From this opulent setting, chapter members conduct the secretive affairs of an organization with tentacles reaching out to all corners of the globe. From its humble beginnings in a army barracks near An Jung-ri, South Korea, in 1971, the FFC has grown into a massive force in the racing world. The shadowy group will not reveal membership totals, but claims to have infiltrated nearly every organization on the globe. "It's not outrageous to say that not much gets by us that we know about," says chapter general secretary George Tirebiter with obvious pride. Only a few organizations have escaped the FFC power grab, and a majority of those because their value to humanity is considered particularly low. Among these are the national Republican and Democratic Parties, U.S. Congress, all HMOs, and any group that employs a radio or television talk show host. Actual details of day-to-day operations are obscured by a shield of secrecy and burly security guards, but Tirebiter did volunteer that the FFC is looking for Fortran code writers, brewmasters and biochemists. The
Frostbite Falls Chapter was founded in 1971 in a dismal army barracks at Camp Humphreys,
South Korea, by myself and Ted Spencer. We viewed it as an antidote to the humorless olive
drab lives we were leading. Or as a revolutionary act of resistance against the forces of
military darkness who insisted we get haircuts, I don't remember which. Whatever the
reason, we forked over our three bucks for lifetime memberships.
