Dorothy's Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients to Serve Four


12 oz. tomato paste 1 large can tomatoes, chopped 2 TBSP olive oil 1/4 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced 1/4 cup thinly sliced celery 1 1/2 TSP salt 1 TSP sugar
1/2 TSP dried oregano 1/8 TSP pepper 1/4 cup chopped parsley 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese 1/4 TSP baking soda

Steps


  1. Saute onion, garlic, and celery in oil until translucent.
  2. Add tomato paste and tomatoes.
  3. Add remaining ingedients (except for baking soda)
  4. Cook slowly, covered, for one hour.
  5. Add 1/4 teaspoon baking soda and stir well.
  6. Cook ten minutes to blend flavors.
