Vienna Cream Cheese Cookies

Ingredients


1/2 pound cream cheese 1/2 pound butter 2 1/2 cups sifted flour fruit jam or jelly of your choice confectioner's sugar


Steps

  1. Cream together cream cheese and butter.
  2. Gradually add flour, forming a smooth dough.
  3. Knead gently for five minutes.
  4. Wrap in wax paper and refrigerate overnight.
  5. Roll chilled dough to one-third inch thickness.
  6. Cut into small diamond shapes, about 1/2 inch per side.
  7. Make depression in center of each diamond.
  8. Place a dab of jelly in each depression.
  9. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
  10. Cool and sprinkle with sugar.
