Vienna Cream Cheese Cookies
Ingredients
1/2 pound cream cheese
1/2 pound butter
2 1/2 cups sifted flour
fruit jam or jelly of your choice
confectioner's sugar
Steps
Cream together cream cheese and butter.
Gradually add flour, forming a smooth dough.
Knead gently for five minutes.
Wrap in wax paper and refrigerate overnight.
Roll chilled dough to one-third inch thickness.
Cut into small diamond shapes, about 1/2 inch per side.
Make depression in center of each diamond.
Place a dab of jelly in each depression.
Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
Cool and sprinkle with sugar.
