In memoriam: "Chuffer"- 11/14/1996

To all of those who have sent e-mail saying "I thought you hated the little bastard" or "What is this? Are you getting soft in your old age?", the answers are "yes" and "no" respectively. It was a sad day here for all of us and as no work was going to get done, we decided to make this small tribute. So "u-byte" me!

Just choose to think of it as an overly dramatic attempt to show that people like us who usually vote Republican are not cold-hearted, mind-numbed robots.

Besides, we needed a way to make a hyperlink to Viz comics!

This low-tech, no-bandwidth-wasting JPEGs, text-only web page was also created using "NetScrape" Navigator 2.0 (mainly because Navigator 3.0 is crap.) (Don't believe us? Download the trial version and watch it wreak havoc on your computer. Hint: Don't install it in the same directory as your old version.) We know it looks crappier than it really is when you use that crappy "MicroShaft" browser; but that's what happens when Bill Gates gives you something for free. Don't blame us.

OK, so Internet Explorer 4 looks better than the early versions................ and you get more fonts than "NetScrape" gives you............. big deal. But since Janet El Rrrrreeeeeenyo thinks you need to be protected from it, there must be something sinister about it.

Ah.......since this was originally created in '96, some of this rant is outdated. We present it only as a reminder of how far(?) we have come. BTW, checked your stock portfolio lately?
